Electrical teminal installation – electricians

The ELECTRICAL TERMINAL INSTALLATION course will be held at the vocational training center CFP Des Moulins in Terrebonne (address: 2525 des Entreprises boulevard, Terrebonne, Qc J6X 4J9). http://www.cfpmoulins.qc.ca/

This course is offered during the day for a week-long (40 hours). The cost will depend on the number of the person registered (maximum 12) – approximately $500.

OSSA and BSO courses

The Conseil provincial (International) has concluded an agreement exclusively for its members with RB GLOBAL Management & Safety to carry out in coordination the OSSA and BSO trainings, which are essential to work on construction sites in Western Canada.

This agreement allows International members to receive a discount on the training cost and flexibility on the training schedule.

As of today, all workers who are members of locals affiliated to the Conseil provincial (International) and their intention is to go work on Western construction sites requiring the OSSA – Oil Sands Safety Association and the new BSO – Basic Safety Orientation will benefit from an exclusive discount on the registration fees.

2016 I.B.E.W. Local Union officers election

The instructions concerning the mail-in ballot has been mailed on Friday, April 15th 2016 at the same time as the official ballot. Remember that you must:

1- Place an X in the box next to the candidate’s name you wish to elect for each position;

2- Place your ballot into the envelope marked “OFFICIAL BALLOT” and seal that envelope;

3- Place the envelope marked “OFFICIAL BALLOT” into the larger pre-address and pre-paid envelope and seal that envelope;

4- In the top left side of the retur-envelope, print your name and your address (legible capital letters), OTHERWISE YOUR BALLOT ENVELOPE WILL BE REJECTED.

5- Mail the return-envelope.

The counting of the ballots will be done on THURSDAY, MAY 5, 2016 AT 16h00 int he meeting room of the Local Union.

Ballot envelopes received after 14h00, MAY5, 2016will not be opened and will be considered invalid ballots.
